A timed trial license can be requested for evaluation of the software. On the Blue Marble website, log in with your individual account (or create your own free account if needed) to request a trial. A trial can also be requested through Global Mapper License Manager; the Geographic Calculator trial license is included with a trial of Global Mapper Professional. Trial licenses do not work offline.

Limitations while in Evaluation Mode
While in Evaluation mode, the Geographic Calculator allows you to try out every part of the application with a few restrictions. There are specific restrictions on each type of job that are removed when the software is fully licensed. These restrictions include:
- Interactive Conversions: Unlimited use
- Point Database Conversions: Convert the first 50 rows of an unlimited number of files
- Vector Data Conversions: Convert up to 10 vector files
- Georeferencer: Unlimited use
- Raster Transform: Transform up to 10 images singly or in batch mode
