- globalmapper.GetGeoCalcSettings() GM_GeoCalcSettings_t
Returns the current GeoCalc library settings used for geodetic calculations.
- Returns:
the current configuration of GeoCalc, represented as several booleans
- Return type:
GM_GeoCalcSettings_t
The GM_GeoCalcSettings_t class can be used to control the following settings:
mShowDeprecated: - Show deprecated geodetic definitions when browsing the GeoCalc datasource.
mPreferCRSFromExternalFile: - Prefer coordinate system definitions from external files.
mFilterTransformsByAOU: - Filter coordinate transforms in the GeoCalc datasource to only show ones which have a valid Area of Use at the relevant location. This means that transforms which have a limited geographic range will be excluded if the point is outside their range.
mAutoDownloadMissingGrids: - Automatically download missing grid files when using a datasource object that has a grid-file-based definition.
mUseNullForUnknownVertical: - Use a “null” transform for coordinate systems with an unknown vertical.
mAutoPickTransforms: - Use auto-pick for coordinate transformations. If this is disabled, you will need to manually specify a coordinate transformation or use a picker dialog that will open.
mUseLegacyAutoPickLogic: - Use legacy (non-GeoCalc) auto-pick logic for coordinate transformations, if auto-pick is enabled. This is how Global Mapper performed coordinate system transformations prior to v27.0.
mEnableViaIntermediate: - Enable “via intermediate” category in the GeoCalc datasource to convert from one coordinate system to another by an intermediate coordinate system, if there is no direct transform between the primary two.
mAllowNullCoordTransforms: - Allow operations to use “null” coordinate transformations as a fallback option if no other transform is available.
mEnableTimeDependentTransforms: - Enable time-dependent transformations in the GeoCalc datasource.
Example
The following is an example of GetGeoCalcSettings:
settings = gm.GetGeoCalcSettings()
if (settings.mAutoDownloadMissingGrids):
print("GeoCalc will automatically download necessary grid files as needed")
This example shows how to check if a particular setting is toggled.
