There are a number of datasource files shipped with GeoCalc:
geodata.xml - This datasource file includes all the base geodetic data. The definitions have further been organized into folders to make easier.
geodata.xvw - This is a data view file that contains the folder structures to make browsing and searching through the datasource easier.
The datasource files shipped with GeoCalc are not compatible with the datasource files shipped with older versions GeoCalc and earlier.
If you try to load a datasource file from an older version of GeoCalc into the current GeoCalc DataSource, an attempt will be made to upgrade all old data.
If you have made customizations to an earlier version of the datasource that you would like to merge into the new datasource files, we recommend the use of the DataSourceEditor dialog. This dialog provides the ability to add definitions to the datasource, remove definitions from the datasource, edit definitions in the data source, and organize the definitions into folders. For a description of the DataSourceEditor dialog, click here. Further information about the DataSourceEditor can be found in the Getting Started Guide.
