Locking Spatial Databases

By default, Spatial Databases are locked down so that the user may not overwrite existing tables. To change this setting:

1. Select Options>Administrative Settings and go to the Administrative tab.
   
   

2. Clicking the check-box for Allow table overwrite for database connections will enable users to overwrite existing tables in spatial databases. Note that it may be possible to set up the database connection outside of the Geographic Calculator in such a way that users may not alter existing tables, in which case such updates from within the Calculator may still fail, even if this check-box is clicked. In that case the Administrator may need to alter the external connection information.
