We are excited to announce Global Mapper Mobile for iOS and Android! This mobile application offers tools to use in the field for data collection, GPS tracking, template-based attribute collection, and camera integration. The release of Global Mapper Mobile 3.0 includes both free and paid Pro versions of the mobile app.
The most significant development in the Global Mapper Mobile platform is the availability of Pro version, incorporating numerous professional-grade mapping tools. Highlights include support for streaming map services including the ability to add custom sources; GeoPackage and GeoPDF support; multiple projection options; GPS averaging; and much more. Visit https://www.bluemarblegeo.com/purchase-global-mapper-mobile-pro/ for purchase options.
The base version of the mobile app has also seen considerable changes with a refreshed UI; a new measure tool; access to OSM data; and an attribute search function.
Global Mapper Mobile, available on iOS and Android, allows you to take your Global Mapper data into the field. Through the use of Global Mapper Mobile Package (*.gmmp) format, all of the file formats accessible through Global Mapper can be viewed and edited on the mobile device in the field.
Exported data from Global Mapper desktop can be transferred to the mobile app via email, a shared drive, a sync cable connection, or via the Global Mapper Mobile Data Management tool.
