Vertical Offset by Grid Interpolation (NRCan byn) is an offset grid that transforms height values between two different local vertical datums. The offset data exist in a single .byn file providing a grid of elevation difference (aka vertical offset) values between between the two vertical datums at specific latitude and longitude values on the specified interpolation coordinate reference system. The elevation differences at non-grid point locations are interpolated.
