The VDatum model was created by the National Geodetic Survey branch of NOAA. It was designed to provide a user access to tidal variations for six different tidal states relative to a base NAVD88 height datum. The VDatum grids are high accuracy data for US coastal areas, and can be used to improve the efficiency and accuracy of any hydrological area directly impacted by tidal water bodies.
The "VDatumTidal" vertical transform has the following parameters:
|
Parameter Name |
Parameter String |
Units |
|
File Name |
file |
String |
|
Path Root |
path_root |
String |
The path parameter can either be fully qualified or relative to the location of the data source file in which it is defined. The path string should not end with a slash character.
