Intersecting Lines and Areas

The Select All Areas and Lines that Intersect or Touch the Selected Line(s) tool selects all area and line features that intersect with the original selected line feature.

To use this tool: Select a line feature, then access the tool from either location:
- Right-click with the Digitizer, or open the Digitizer menu, and go to the Advanced Selection Options sub-menu.
- Open the Digitizer Toolset, choose this option from the Advanced Selection Options dropdown menu, and click Select.

The line used to define the features for selection will no longer be selected after the operation is complete.

To repair intersecting lines by splitting them at the intersection, use the Select and Repair Intersecting Lines tool.
