OSM (OpenStreetMap) PBF files

Global Mapper supports the import of Open Street Map Protocolbuffer Binary Format (*.osm.pbf) files. This file type is reported to be smaller than the similar .xml file.

Other OSM file types supported by Global Mapper include:

• *.OSM (import and export)
• *.OSM.XML (import and export)
