Data Recommendations

Mobile devices are typically less powerful than the desktop or laptop machines used o run Global Mapper desktop. In particular, run-time memory available to applications is quite limited. The operating system will shut the application down if it consumes too much memory.

It is recommended that you simplify data to be used in your mobile app as much as practical. This means possibly reducing the resolution of raster and grid layers. Large lidar data sets are simply not practical and it is recommended that you grid any large data for use in the mobile device. The app does not currently support Lidar data.
